Disney in bid to attract online viewers

The Walt Disney Company has bought a 33 per cent stake in video streaming company BAMTech for $1 billion in a bid to attract online viewers, after its third-quarter results revealed some challenges at its television business.

“Our results are evidence that our asset mix is strong, as is our ability to execute in ways that enhance the Disney brand and create value for our shareholders while we invest for future growth.”
