Desmond’s diamond mine turns profit after hard year
Mountain Province Diamonds, Dermot Desmond’s Canadian diamond company, reported a profit for 2017 of Can$13.2 million after “a long, difficult and frustrating year”.
Mountain Province went into production last year at its Gahcho Kué prospect on the edge of the Arctic Circle, which is regarded as the world’s largest new diamond mine.
