Delaney will appear at Oireachtas committee

A statement from FAI president Donal Conway has said recent comments made by the association 'did not accurately reflect the board’s level of awareness of the existence of the €100,000 issue in 2017'

The Oireachtas committee had asked for FAI president Donal Conway, treasurer Eddie Murray and legal and corporate affairs lead Paraic Treanor, along with former chief executive Delaney, to attend.

The FAI has been at the eye of a storm of controversy since news emerged of a €100,000 loan from Delaney to his employer in 2017.
