Decision before end of month on $8 billion Intel Leixlip plant

A decision on the future of Intel’s new $8 billion Leixlip facility – the largest investment in the history of the state – will be made before the end of this month.

The US multinational, which has operated from Kildare since 1989, first applied for permission to develop a new production facility in Collinstown Industrial Park in Leixlip in 2016.

The proposed plans to create a new chip-manufacturing facility were given the green light in 2017....
