Datalex to cut a fifth of annual cost base after profit warning

Datalex, the travel industry software firm, said it had largely implemented a cost-cutting plan to save it $8.5 million (€7.5 million).

The company had warned in February that a substantial restructuring was needed as a result of a profit warning and the discovery of accounting irregularities dating back to last year.

In a letter to shareholders released last Friday evening, it said it had “substantially implemented its cost restructuring programme”, although it gave no further details....
