Dalata, the publicly quoted Irish hotels heavyweight, will consider an expansion into European markets as it seeks to lock in growth in the coming years, according to chief executive Pat McCann.

Pre-tax profits jumped by 55 per cent to €44.1 million, the company announced last week, and McCann is not anticipating any slowdown in the coming years.

“The way we look at things, for the very considerable future, we will continue to be growing,” he said....
