Farmer Maeve O’Keeffe runs agricultural start-up HoofCareDirect with her father Eddie on the family’s cattle farm in Ballynoe near Fermoy in east Cork. They have brought to market new cattle-handling equipment designed to make the process of trimming hooves safer and easier.

O’Keeffe studied agriculture at Waterford Institute of Technology and spent 18 months working on farms in New Zealand.
