Craft brewers introduce new symbol to help identify beers

Microbreweries developed the symbol in response to the growth in the sector in recent years

A new symbol to make it easier to identify Irish brewer craft beer is being introduced by the Independent Craft Brewers of Ireland (ICBI).

“It's about protecting something we believe in from being diluted by non-authentic participants in the market. There are loads of similar examples like Guaranteed Irish and Love Irish Food,” said Walsh.

“Our beer is going to command a premium price and people are going to want to know why...
