Psychometric testing is a scientific way of assessing a candidate’s suitability for a role. The two main types of psychometric test are personality assessments and cognitive assessments. Personality assessments generate a profile of an individual which looks at a variety of personality traits. This profile is then used by an employer to decide whether the candidate possesses the desired attributes for a particular role.
