CIF president: new scheme needed to back small developers

The president of the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) has said small and medium developers are being squeezed out of the building sector in favour of larger, publicly quoted recent arrivals.

Dominic Doheny, who has been CIF president since January, told The Sunday Business Post that builders like Cairn Homes could deliver homes more economically because their cost of capital was significantly less than that of other developers.
