Central Bank ups ante in mortgage inquiry

Lenders will be required to provide the Central Bank with a detailed explanation of the “detriment suffered by customers”, as part of an ongoing probe into tracker mortgages.

Tracker mortgages have been in the spotlight since last summer, after an overcharging scandal at Permanent TSB raised concerns about broader problems in the market.
