Jobs Minister Richard Bruton is seeking a cut in capital gains tax (CGT) in the budget for entrepreneurs.

Business groups have complained that many entrepreneurs have been put off from selling their enterprises by the current 33 per cent rate of capital gains tax.

And the pressure for action has been increased by the British government’s special 10 per cent capital gains tax rate for entrepreneurs on the first €13 million of capital gains from companies...
