Brown Bag founders share €40m in studio sale

Oscar-nominated animation company Brown Bag was sold for about €40 million, industry sources said, more than double what had been speculated.

The deal price in the acclaimed children’s animation maker’s sale to Canadian studio 9 Story was not disclosed, but the same sources said that a recent rise in revenues at the firm pushed up the company’s value to double the €18 million that had been estimated in some reports.
