Brokers call for electronic mortgage applications

Association of Expert Mortgage Advisers accounts for almost 50 per cent of all mortgage broker business

A group of Irish mortgage brokers is targeting multimillion euro savings with a shift away from paper mortgage applications.

The Association of Expert Mortgage Advisers (AEMA), which claims to account for almost 50 per cent of all mortgage broker business in Ireland, has announced plans to adopt a common electronic system for mortgages.

The mortgage software platform allows both brokers and participating lenders to send, track and administer mortgage applications and related documents electronically.
