The Dublin start-up Engager is seeking €750,000 in seed funding, having established a Los Angeles office, as it negotiates to sell its broadcast ratings and data analytics platform to US broadcaster Fox.

Charlie Byrne and Brian Sexton established Engager in July 2015 to develop software that would allow broadcasters to gauge viewers’ responses to television programmes on social media.
