British watchdog warns Aer Lingus over Cityjet lease deal

The CMA is looking into a plan announced earlier this year for a so-called 'wet lease' agreement between Aer Lingus and Cityjet that is due to happen later this month

Aer Lingus and its parent company have been warned by Britain’s competition watchdog that they could be fined if they breach undertakings given to the authority as it continues to investigate a leasing agreement with Cityjet.

The watchdog, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), wrote to Aer Lingus, its parent company IAG and Cityjet warning that it will levy fines of up to 5 per cent of their turnover if they don’t comply....
