The Dublin-based tech start-up Coroflo is this year’s winner of the ESB Spark of Genius Award. The company, which is developing a breastfeeding monitor for new mothers, won the award at the Web Summit in Lisbon last week, securing a €25,000 cash prize.

Coroflo will bring its patented nipple shield to market next year. The device incorporates technology that monitors the milk flow from mother to baby, measuring precisely the volumes consumed.
