Boxfish acquires Belfast data firm Sophia
Artificial intelligence firm targets social media audience; Boxfish clients include Netflix, Fox, CBS and Amazon
Boxfish, the data science company founded by Eoin Dowling and Kevin Burkitt, has acquired Sophia, a Belfast firm that specialises in semantic data and content analytics.
Boxfish, which raised $5 million from Dublin-based venture capital firm Atlantic Bridge Partners and electronics giant Samsung in 2014, did not disclose the terms of the deal.
