Wholesaler Newspread's strategy of diversification has helped it survive a decline in print circulation

Logic might suggest that a 45-year-old wholesaler of Irish newspapers and magazines might be in trouble given the decline in print circulation. However, Newspread says it has managed to double its bottom line over the past five years.

Wholly owned by Independent News & Media, the overall revenue of Newspread – according to its own estimates – will be north of €200 million in 2016, an increase of more than 3 per cent on 2015....
