Up to three potential buyers are circling Shell’s stake in the controversial €3.6 billion Corrib gas field as the oil and gas giant moves ahead with a $30 billion global sell-off.

While there is no formal sales process relating to Shell’s 45 per cent stake in the Co Mayo gas field, market sources confirmed that up to three companies are considering making unsolicited bids for the multibillion euro gas field.
