Boylesports and Ladbrokes UK in court battle in effort to buy Ladbrokes’ Irish business out of examinership

The chain, owned by John Boyle, also claims that it could close fewer Ladbrokes outlets in Ireland than being proposed by Ladbrokes’ current management team.

Boylesports is currently battling to take over Ladbrokes’ Irish division, which is insolvent and currently under the care of a court-appointed examiner. Court papers lodged last week say Boylesports would pay all of Ladbrokes’ preferential creditors in full and a substantial dividend for the unsecured third party trade creditors...
