Ballymaloe links up with Tesco in €500,000 deal
Cork-based food firm Ballymaloe is valuing a contract to supply Tesco’s British stores at €500,000 over nine months.
Under the terms of the contract, Ballymaloe’s Original Country Relish will be supplied to 900 Tesco stores around Britain.
Ballymaloe Foods was established in 1990 in east Cork by Yasmin Hyde, to sell her mother Myrtle Allen’s relish recipe to local shops and restaurants in East Cork.
The business has since grown to employ 20 people in a purpose-built facility in Little Island.
