How do you celebrate selling your family business for €60 million?

If you’re the Pratts, you put the kettle on, make a pot of tea and enjoy it with some Avoca sourdough topped with homemade jam.

It was, according to Simon Pratt, a fitting way to mark the sale of the company his parents founded in 1974 when they bought the dilapidated weaving mill in Avoca in Co Wicklow.
