At least 750 debtors have transferred hundreds of properties into a trust set up by Kilkenny landscape gardener Charlie Allen, who has claimed that he can protect borrowers from asset seizure.

The debtors include Bill Cullen, the car dealer and hotel builder who lost swathes of his business empire during the recession. According to a document obtained by The Sunday Business Post, he has transferred 27 folios into the trust.
