Argos performance comes ahead of its takeover by Sainsburys

Argos has reported its strongest sales performance in two years, driven by sales of top-end TVs, computers and tablets. That offset a decline in white goods and weaker sales of seasonal products during cold spring weather, as it prepares for its takeover by Sainsbury’s.
