Ardagh chief Niall Wall to step down

The chief executive of Ardagh Niall Wall is set to resign in the autumn from the glass bottle maker and packaging company controlled by his billionaire brother-in-law, Paul Coulson.

Wall is understood to have signalled his departure plans to his board in January.

Ardagh is currently in the running to snap up parts of rival Ball Corporation for about €3.6 billion.
