Budgets – or lack of them – can end many film projects before they even begin. But the team behind An Mhallacht pulled out all the stops, including enlisting the help of the local undertaker, to ensure they got their short film over the line.

An Mhallacht is based around the alleged Curse of Mayo, which claims that the county will never win an All-Ireland football final until every member of the winning 1951 team...
