About an hour earlier, Brian Murray, senior counsel for the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE), had begun the application for the appointment of High Court inspectors with sweeping powers to probe the affairs of Independent News & Media. He was in mid-flow, explaining the alleged data breach at INM.
