Alltech, the animal nutrition company founded by Irish entrepreneur Pearse Lyons, plans to expand Keenan Systems into China, Canada and Eastern Europe following its acquisition of the Carlow-based business last week.

Keenan, which has sales of €40 million, was bought by Alltech after ten days of talks between the firm and its receivers, Kieran Wallace and Cormac O’Connor of KPMG.
