AIB to sell debts linked to McGettigan empire

The filings show that the group’s current consolidated debt is worth £21.8m

AIB is to sell off the debts of a company linked to the hospitality and hotel empire of the McGettigan family.

Company documents show that the Bonnington Group struck a deal with its bankers “expected to result in the group’s banking debt being sold to a third party”. As part of the deal, Bonnington will cull a variety of subsidiary companies and simplify the group’s structure.
