AIB shares begin trading on Enterprise Securities Market

The move follows a one-for-250 consolidation of the bank's shares

Shares in AIB began trading on the ESM this morning

Around 2.7 billion shares in AIB began trading on the Enterprise Securities Market, the junior market of the Irish Stock Exchange, this morning.

The move follows shareholder approval last week of the bank's capital reorganisation, which involves a consolidation of the bank's shares at a ratio of one share for every 250 held, as well a payment of €1.7 billion to the state.
