Accor expands its luxury footprint

London’s famous Savoy Hotel

AccorHotels, which owns the Novotel and Ibis chains, has expanded its presence in the luxury hotel market by snapping up three luxury hotel brands, Fairmont, Raffles and Swissôtel, from FRHI Holdings.

“The transaction will also enable the group to consolidate its shareholder base with the arrival of two high-profile investors that both have extensive expertise in the hospitality industry.”
