Accent makes a killing with tickets domain
Accent Media, the start-up backed by former Ticketmaster boss Tommy Higgins, has signed up major names including Google, Apple and U2 as customers.
Valued at around $13 million, Accent, where Higgins is chairman and has a substantial stake, won a bidding war against global entertainment giants and private equity to buy the tickets domain name. It is now selling the rights to use it to some of the biggest brands in the world.
