A Dublin start-up’s canny devices lure shoppers away from Amazon

Pointy already has its low-cost, low-hassle products in 10,000 US retail locations, where they are lifting sales in some cases by double-digit figures

Dublin tech start-up Pointy, which is backed by the late Paul Allen’s Vulcan Capital as well as Polaris Partners, Dublin-based Frontline Ventures and others, is making a splash in the US market.
