€6m interest earned by lenders on Irish business loan platform

Lenders on the peer-to-peer funding platform Linked Finance have earned more than €6 million in interest on loans given to small firms.

Figures provided to this newspaper by Dublin-based Linked Finance show that more than €80 million has been borrowed by about 1,800 companies.

The amount of lending to firms via the platform has shot up this year, according to its chief executive Niall Dorrian.
