€10m German deal for Surface Power Hone

Irish company Surface Power Hone has secured a German government contract to work on a €10 million social housing project in Aachen.

Surface Power Hone will partner with Belgian firm Mopac Systems International to build energy-efficient housing, incorporating technology that it has developed to use daylight to heat homes for free.

Surface Power’s chief executive John Quinn said the company planned to partner with Mopac on other European projects.
