Junk Kouture to take sustainable fashion contest international

With more than half of Irish schools taking part in its competition each year, the homegrown company is ready to bring the idea to the world’s fashion hotspots, including New York, London, Paris and São Paulo

Jane Smith had not initially planned to work full-time at Junk Kouture, the sustainable fashion competition aimed at second-level students, but then got “hooked”.

“I was going to be on the advisory board initially, but I just got sucked into it, to be honest. It’s just so unique,” the company’s chief content officer said.
