Who do you think of when you think of a children’s books author? Most of us, I’d wager, immediately call to mind the greats: Roald Dahl and Diana Wynne Jones from yesteryear, and authors of the calibre of JK Rowling, Jacqueline Wilson and David Walliams from modern times.
