Alsace is a cracking wine region in France that has somehow remained under the radar

You would think it pretty difficult to hide an entire wine region in France, one that is two-thirds the size of Burgundy, has been making wine since the Romans arrived, has 51 Grand Cru sites, and is so beautiful – packed with fairytale mountaintop castles and postcard-perfect villages – that it has been fought over twice in world wars in the last century.
