We live in politically uncertain times; in an era of divisiveness and polarity – of Twitter wars, trolling and reality television presidents. “It’s frightening,” reflects Gavin Friday. “When you turn around, it’s like the 1930s, with the rise of racism and hate. It’s time that music and lyrics got more verbal about this. We need the punk. We need the Brecht.”
