Discover Dutch masters

IFI Family Festival, the Waterford Harvest Festival and the Liffey Swim

In the 1630s Dutch artist Frans Post spent seven years in Brazil, sketching the flora and fauna, with 34 drawings from that time recently discovered in his home town of Haarlem. These pieces will be on show in the National Gallery from September 8 to December 9 alongside other key works from Dutch artists. If you fancy delving further into his work, series curator Niamh MacNally will deliver a lecture on Post this Thursday. Tickets are €25 and you can book at nationalgallery.ie.
