Around seven million of the vehicles have been sold worldwide
The Ford Transit, one of the best-selling vans of all time, in Ireland and abroad, this year celebrates its 50th anniversary. Some seven million examples have been sold worldwide, including 125,000 Transits in Ireland alone. Of those, 1,745 models were produced at Ford’s production facility at the Cork Marina in the late 1960s.
