Tasty treats for culture vultures

From the long-awaited Star Wars film, to new works by Anne Enright and Donal Ryan, and concerts from U2 and Taylor Swift, 2015 has something for everyone, writes Arts Editor Nadine O’Regan

Ireland in 2015 will be book-ended by two major cinematic events, albeit ones popular for wildly different reasons. Star Wars: The Force Awakens will come to cinemas next December, featuring Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson, and with Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill reprising their original roles for a story set 30 years after The Return of the Jedi. Closer to now, however, sees the release of the long-delayed Fifty Shades of Grey, the film adaptation of EL James’s global erotic romance smash, starring Dakota Johnson and Irish star Jamie Dornan.
