A trip to America’s Deep (fried) South comes with a caveat: it may make you a more rounded person, in more ways than one

Deep-fried, icing sugar-smothered, praline beignets for breakfast. Deep-fried catfish, with a side of deep fried boudins, for lunch. Deep-fried baby back ribs, with fries, for dinner. Peckish? Two dollars get you a box of deep-fried chicken from the Stop-n-Go store.
