Joseph Stiglitz, the Nobel Prize-winning economist and former adviser to Bill Clinton, is not a man to mince his words. When asked about Ireland’s tax arrangements with Apple during an RTE radio interview last week, he accused Minister for Education Richard Bruton of talking “utter balderdash”.
