Like all men with little hair, I’m God’s gift to hairdressers, male or female – the living embodiment of a fast buck. I don’t refuse barbershop conversations, it’s just that my kind of haircut doesn’t lend itself to much more than a brief chat. So you can appreciate that accidentally walking into a place likeSalon Confidential(RTÉ Two), which has a cast of spectacularly loquacious, opinionated, inquisitive and flamboyant hairdressers (and, of course, a make-up artist), all of whom are very much up for it, would, for me, be like walking into the vestibule of hell.
