Paul Connell is the photographer, the brains, and the heart behind the Pathfinders exhibition of LGBTQI-movement activist portraits.

After a series of bereavements, Connell found healing in photography. He’s used to “schlepping my photography gear around like a one-man band”, he says, and one day felt the urge to photograph Flicky and Jules, friends of his friends. Though initially reticent, the couple eventually agreed to sit for a portrait, and that’s where the exhibition began....
