As the first batches of spirits from Ireland’s new distilleries reach maturity, the revival of Irish whiskey now faces its greatest test
Last week, the first new Irish whiskey from the first new, purpose-built distillery to open in this country for over a century was finally bottled and launched. This milestone came four years after the project was initiated by Liam LaHart, Peter Mosley and the late and hugely lamented Oliver Hughes, who died unexpectedly and far too young over the summer.
