Ski Watch was in the Italian Dolomites in mid December to witness the lack of snow then affecting (and continuing to affect) much of the Alps.

Due to a deeply-entrenched mild weather pattern, forecasters were predicting no snow until into the new year. Resort bosses were understandably worried.
