Polish tenor’s powerhouse performance

The only disappointing thing about this dramatic concert – and it was never less than that – was the fact that I left the NCH still not knowing how to pronounce the tenor’s name.
Putting Piotr Beczala into the Queen’s English is easy enough, but getting it right in his native Polish tongue is challenging.
Does it matter? It sure does, because Beczala set the concert hall alight with a powerhouse ...
